Lollipop Posse Lacquer Year of the Tarot Swatches
The Moon - $12
Maker description: The Moon is a deep, super-saturated violet jelly that suspends blue crystal flakes and larger color-shifting blue/green/gold iridescent flakes. A sprinkle of red/blue/purple color shifting shimmer allows The Moon to show many facets under different lighting conditions.
The Moon is the card of intuition, dreams, and the unconscious. When viewed upright, The Moon often represents your "shadow" self, and carries with it the fear of projecting ill feelings of past experiences into your present and future. To remedy this, you must psychologically purge; dig deep within yourself to discover and let go of your invisible anxieties, fears, and blocks. Oftentimes, The Moon appears when you are not sure of your destination, or even of the path you are traveling, but you travel nonetheless.*
2-3 coats (depends on application, but I recommend 3 for a deeper color)
My personal favorite. Dark, saturated, and filled with glowing blue shimmer and flakes. Good formula, just don't overload your brush.
The Lovers - $12
Maker description: The Lovers is a shimmery nude crelly that is packed with pink to purple color shifting duochrome shimmer.
The Lovers represent perfection and harmony. Their trust in one another gives them strength and confidence to overcome the obstacles in life. On a more personal level, The Lovers card represents the establishment of your personal beliefs and becoming clearer about your own values. This is a time when you need to stay true to yourself and be as authentic and genuine as possible. You may come to face a difficult decision or moral dilemma, and you must make your choices and act on your decisions so that they reflect your beliefs and values.*
3 coats + topcoat
The shimmer in this warm nude is much more apparent and pretty in person. Formula was a little tricky, but I was also overly caffeinated when I swatched this one. :)
The Empress - $12
Maker description: The Empress is a duochrome crelly that shifts between lavender and a light, mossy green, and suspends silver holographic flakes and pink/green/blue shifting chameleon chrome flakes.
The Empress shows a deep connection with our femininity. Femininity is personified in many ways - beauty, sensuality, fertility, creativity, nurturing - and is necessary in creating an internal balance for both men and women. The Empress calls on you to connect with that energy and create beauty in your life. Utilize your senses to experience pleasure and deep fulfillment, and spend time connecting with nature. The Empress also encourages you to connect with others by nurturing, caring for, and supporting those around you. To do so will create abundance and radiance in your life.*
3 coats + topcoat (but 2 coats was SO close to full coverage)
Good, easy to use formula. I love that this one is glitzy and subdued at the same time. The green shift isn't super strong, but very pretty when you catch it.
The Magician - $12
Maker description: The Magician is a super complex crelly with a purple base, bronze/gold/green shifting shimmer, holographic galaxy glitters, and pink/green/gold shifting chameleon chrome flakes.
The Magician is associated with the planet Mercury, and brings with it skill, logic, and intellect. The number of The Magician is one - the number of beginnings. It typically appears to you in a time in your life when you have creative power and energy to create a new life cycle for yourself. You have the ability to take the power of the universe and manifest your desires. The Magician encourages you to apply skill and initiative to accomplish your goals, and a strong sense of optimism will dominate your actions and bring positive results.*
3 coats + topcoat (great formula!)
Great formula and good flakie distribution with every coat. My notes describe the base color as "raisin" and I think that's pretty spot on.
