Glam Polish Mermaid at Heart Collection Swatches & Review (partial)

Glam Polish Mermaid at Heart Collection Swatches & Review (partial)

I’m so excited to share these brand new beauties with you! I was contacted by Rachel of Glam Polish a while back, asking if I’d be interested in being a guest swatcher and OF COURSE I said yes. I only own a handful of Glams so far, but the ones I have are truly unique and have excellent formulas. Glam Polish does flakies like no one else, so when I unwrapped these babies to realize they were super bright AND flakie-filled, I was extra excited!

These polishes were provided to me by Glam Polish for swatches and my honest review.

All photos in this post are taken under artificial light, using Talon Super Swatch & Peel base coat by Nail Hoot, (a clear peel-able vinyl base), and topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat. Matte swatches are topped with Nina Ultra Pro matte topcoat.

Let's get into the swatches!

I have 5 of 10 shades from this collection to share with you. I’ll link to some of my fellow bloggers as I find more posts so you can check out all the colors.

So as not to repeat myself, I’ll just say now that each and every shade had a great formula! I was honestly impressed at how easily these went on the nail, since they’re packed full of flakes and holo. I'm showing these topped with shiny and matte topcoat.

Wish Upon A Clownfish

Watermelon Jelly with red/gold iridescent flakes, shifting iridescent glitter and fine holo microglitter.

3 coats + topcoat

This is one of those tricky bright shades - on it’s own, it looks like an eye searing bright pink, but next to a true pink like It’s a Shore Thing, it looks more orange. Gorgeous either way and perfect for summer! The flakes in this one blend in the most of the 5 shades I received, so it has more of a glowing look rather than contrasting flakes.

It's A Shore Thing

Bright Pink Jelly with green/purple iridescent flakies, pink/purple/green iridescent flakies, and fine holo microglitter.

3 coats + topcoat

“Bright” is an understatement! This pink is absolutely beautiful and the mix of flakes gives it a contrasting blue glow that’s absolutely perfect. Pink lovers, you'll want to pick up this beauty.

Just Keep Swimming, Swimming, Swimming.

Sapphire Blue Jelly with pink/purple/green flakies and fine holo microglitter.

2 coats + topcoat

THIS. POLISH. This ended up being my favorite of the bunch. It’s loaded with so many flakes of varying colors that it looked the most complex on the nail. It reminded me of geodes. It's described as sapphire, but depending on what it's next to, it can lean more blue or more indigo/dusky purple. I’m including an extra macro of this beauty because I could stare at it all day.

Life Is The Bubbles

Bright Azure Blue Jelly with green/purple/indigo iridescent flakies, green/purple iridescent flakies, and fine holo microglitter.

2 coats + topcoat

This is my second favorite shade of the bunch and probably the most squishy. The azure blue jelly base perfectly suspends all those flakes and gives it the most amazing pool vibe. This is just begging for some summertime nail art.

The Seaweed Is Always Greener

Sea Green Crelly with green/purple/indigo iridescent flakies, blue/purple iridescent flakies, fine holo microglitter, iridescent microglitter and a hint of turquoise microflakies.

3 coats+ topcoat

This color was so challenging to photograph! I’ve color corrected as best I could, without sacrificing quality, but please note that this shade is even bolder and a bit more blue-leaning than my photos show. On my screen, the macro is actually most color accurate. The flakes in this one really glow in contrast to the base, making it extra beautiful.

Overall, I was so impressed with these polishes. Super bright shades and polishes filled with flakes tend to have tricky formulas, but I experienced none of that with these! They painted on easily just like a typical polish.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the release! Thursday, June 1st 2pm EST USA, www.glampolish.com.au
