All the Colors I Am Inside - Nail Polish Inspiration
Inspired by the poem “Colors” from the book Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.
All the Colors I Am Inside - Nail Polish Swatches
Maker description: a cafe au lait colored base with red-orange-gold-green multichrome shimmer, holo microflakes, and various iridescent color-shifting flakes (heavy on the pink-gold-green and blue-green-purple, but there’s a bit of everything in there!
3 coats + topcoat (but 2 was nearly enough)
Formula: Good formula. It goes right where you want it and all the flakes lay flat.
My thoughts: Shades in this warm, sandy-leaning neutral family tend to make me look like a corpse, there's just no way around it with my pinkish pale skin tone. That said, if I'm going to look like a corpse, this is the way to do it. It's PACKED with shifting shimmer and loads of flakes. Just check out the bottle alone in my photos.
NOTE: These lean JUST a little bit warm, but they're very true to what I was seeing under my Ott Lite. The base is definitely neutral, but depending on lighting and skin tone, it can lean slightly sage which I love.

"Slice" is on the ring finger. Very different, but in my opinion, if you love one, you'll likely love the other.
Sea of Flames Lip Balm Inspiration
This lip balm is inspired by the “Sea of Flames” gem in the book "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. This fictional gem is described as “the blue of tropical seas [with] a touch of red at its center, like flames inside a drop of water.” In this lip balm, the “water” is a sea blue with green shimmer, the “flames” are a orangey pink-red, and there’s a copper-red shimmer running through both. The balm is tinted in the jar but only provides the slightest hint of shimmer on the lips.
Sea of Flames Lip Balm Details
It is packaged in a 6 mL acrylic jar with a clear lid - the better to view the design through! Since these balms are poured by hand with love, the design of each balm will vary slightly. I love how creative these little balms are! What a fun way to represent a favorite book.
Ingredients: Beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, lauryl laurate, Red 7, Red 40, flavor oil, stevia
Scent/flavor: sweet cabernet-inspired flavor (Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with notes of crushed berries, currants, vanilla, and sugar). I really love the flavor! It's sweet and warm without being overpowering.
Formula: The formula itself is similar to that of the tinted lip balm that Contrary offered in February, but a) it is a bit softer since it is in a jar instead of a tube, and b) it's made without sweet almond oil in consideration to those with nut allergies. I LOVED the tinted balm, and so far I'm really liking this as well.
