Chasing Dreams Inspiration

Maker Inspiration: My inspiration this month comes from a stone drawn by my very talented mom, Kim of Arts At Midnight. I decided to go with a name that represented the two of us rather than the stone itself.

You can check out Lindsay's mother's lovely art on Facebook and Instagram. I love that she chose an unlikely inspiration source! And I relate since I also have a very talented, artistic mom. :)

Chasing Dreams Swatches

Maker description: a silver linear holographic base with a pinkish red to yellow shifting shimmer, charcoal flakies, bright silver flakes and 3 different shades of color shifting ultra chrome chameleon flakes.

2 coats + topcoat

Formula: No issues to report. This applied easily and evenly with excellent coverage in just two coats.

Finish: This polish is really unique and changes quite a bit depending on the lighting. Because of the shifting shimmer, it never appeared silver to me, but instead had a beautiful antique/gold/pewter quality. The holo is nice and strong, but the surprise factor is in the flakies. When I stuck my fingers in a lightbox I saw just how many different, colorful flakies are in this! Scroll down to the last macro to see what I mean.

Removal: No issues. I found this easy to remove with pure acetone, even with all those flakies.

This first set of photos was taken under direct artificial light to show off the holo and shifts.
