Tastes Like Purple Inspiration
Tastes Like Purple Swatches
Price: $10, no cap
Maker description: a purple base with purple shimmer, purple metallic flakies, purple to blue shifting iridescent shreds, purple crystal flakes & holographic micro flakies.
2 coats + topcoat
Formula: I had some slight pulling/dragging on the first coat, but the second coat went on easily. The base is more jelly/crelly than I expected looking at the bottle, but I'm glad since it let the shimmer/flakes show through.
Color note: This polish is definitely, truly purple, but it leaned blue in my photos. I've adjusted for that, but just know that if this appears blue on your screen, I promise it's not.
My thoughts: LOVE IT. Which is saying a lot, since I've always had a weird aversion to medium purples. I know, I know... the polish world tends to LOVE purple, but this particular shade isn't one I've ever been a fan of, until this polish. I wore it as a full mani to get out of my color comfort zone, and ended up keeping it on for a couple days because I enjoyed seeing it on my nails so much. It really takes on the light it's in: in warm light, it leans warm, but in cooler and most lighting, it leans cooler purple or royal purple. It's also pretty perfect for the Pantone Color of the Year, UltraViolet.
Removal: No issues. I found this pretty easy to remove with pure acetone, even with all the shimmer and flakes. I had some stray sparkles leftover but they cleaned up easily.
Caramel Popcorn Scented Wax Melt
Price: $2.25, Capped at 200
Size: 1.8 oz Net wt/2 fl oz
Inspiration: Caramel popcorn, YUM!
Scent notes: butter, roasted corn, salt, caramelized sugar, vanilla & maple
My thoughts: I have to admit I was skeptical of this scent just because popcorn-flavored things tend to be a miss for me. However, I really enjoyed it and have this in my warmer right now for at least the third time! This is such a warm, buttery and edible-smelling scent. I had it in the warmer for an hour or so when my husband came home, genuinely thinking I had baked something. He was a little bummed to find out I hadn't, but still really liked the smell. :) I also cut off about 1/3 of this to use in my warmer, so a little goes a long way.
